Author’s Notes- So it’s been forever since I’ve updated. My apologies. I’m currently living in my tree house of writer’s blocks, and you’re welcome to join me. That and I’m without a wireless router right now, which means no internet since my Ethernet port doesn’t work. Fun fun fun. I think this story might possibly end around 10 chapters, considering I know a good place for it to end now. And I also have ideas for a sequel, but we’ll cross that bridge when we come to it. Oh and I felt obligated to put We The Kings in here. I just love them too much not to.
Chapter Two- Whatcha Gonna Do When They Come For You?
William was laying in bed next to Anastasia, grinning. He couldn’t believe this. This morning, the government had given up. Most of the country’s major politions were now on planes fleeing the country, so as not to be murdered by the vampires to whom they had just given all power. Which William didn’t mind, because his units in other countries would have them dead by morning.
He heard his phone ring and smiled, picking it up without bothering to look at who was calling. He just figured it was someone calling to congratulate him on his victory.
Instead…He got quite a different surprise.
“Sir, the Clandestine have reemerged.” Trace Cyrus’ voice rang clear through the receiver. Trace was William’s head of security and information. William was floored.
“What?” He asked, his voice growing into a growl. No. They were supposed to be dead. And even if they weren’t, why would they suddenly reemerge? Then, he glanced over at Anastasia. Rage filled his body. He knew exactly why they had suddenly popped back up.
“I want a bounty put on Gabe Saporta’s head.” He said, his rage not subsiding. “I want people hunting for the Clandestine. Lock up the city. No one comes in or out.”
Trace nodded. “Yes sir. Right away. We’ve already searched his old house. Al we found were some vagrants staying there.”
William looked contemplative. “Well we’ll find them. I know exactly where they’re going. Now get to it.” He snapped the phone shut then forcefully yanked the sleeping Anastasia up from the bed by her neck.
“You fucking think you’re gonna go with them? Huh? You fucking think they’ll save you?!” He screamed in her face. She looked so confused.
“Who? Wh…what’s going on? Bill what’s happening?” She squeaked out in terror. He growled again.
“Call me master bitch!” He said, slamming her against the wall. Then he bit down hard on her neck. He was going to turn her, but in the worst way possible. All of the rage he was feeling would be manifested into a venom. This would make her turning pure hell.
She screamed as the venom entered her body and her whole body immediately started shaking. He let her drop to the ground and grinned. Her transformation was beautiful.
He went to lie down on the bed, watching her painful transformation.

“Well you guys are already being hunted.” Gabe said as he opened the door for the Clandestine crew.
Pete chuckled. “That’s how we roll.” He said, stepping in. He glanced around. “It looks exactly the same.” He said, starting to walk around. He walked into his sister’s old bedroom and was shocked to see it with two sets of bunk beds in it, and four men he didn’t recognize sleeping in them. A red headed one, who appeared to be the only one awake, jumped down.
“Hi there.” He said, shaking Pete’s hand. Then Ryan’s. Then Patrick’s. And then…well you get the idea. “I’m Travis. Uh…I know it’s probably quite a shock to see us in here. But it’s become so dangerous for hunters that the other guys thought it’d be better if we all kinda stuck together.”
Ryan nodded. “Well you’re more than welcome to stay here. It’s a huge house. Who are these other guys?”
“That’s Drew. And then that’s his brother Hunter. And then the one that’s half hanging out of the bed is Danny. But call him Dan Dan. It makes him feel like more of a man.” Ryan laughed at that and shook his head.
Suddenly there was a gasp from where Pete was standing. He held his hand to his heart and looked like he was going to faint. “Shit.” Travis said, who seemed to know more about what was going on than Pete. “Lazy asses get your fucking shit together.” He said as he yanked Dan Dan out of bed and laying Pete down.
All of Clandestine looked scared to shit. The other boys were getting up and just kind of looked like they were waiting for something.
“What the hell is going on with my brother?” Ryan asked, very worried.
The one Travis had called Drew put on his glasses, glancing Ryan up and down. “Well I definitely wouldn’t have pinned you two as brothers.”
Ryan nodded. “I could’ve said the same about you and Hunter. But that didn’t answer my question. “
Drew nodded. “Well a vampire that is emotionally close to him is giving off strong emotions. And I’m assuming it hasn’t happened a lot before considering his reaction.”
Ryan looked very confused. “We don’t have a vampire that has any reason to be emotionally close with us. The only one that would be close to us that isn’t here is…”
“Anni…” Pete whispered breathlessly. “Oh my god Anni…” Travis bit his lip and glanced at Ryan.
“Our sister.” He said, answering the question that Travis silently asked. He saw the red head frown, and got concerned.
Travis put two fingers to Pete’s forehead and closed his eyes. “Fuck.” He muttered. “I’ll go get Gabe.” Ryan started to panic.
“Why what the hell is wrong?! What’s happening?!” Ryan ran over to Pete. “What’s wrong? What’s happening to Anni?”
Dan Dan sighed. “I think she’s probably been turned.” Ryan froze and looked to Pete, who nodded as a confirmation.
“I…Is she okay?” He asked softly. Pete shook his head as Travis returned to the room.
“He turned her with rage. Some say it’s a fate worse than death. And I’m sure when she recovers even in the least bit, he’ll be torturing her. She’s been calling out for you and Pete.”
Ryan ran his fingers through his hair. “Fuck. What can we do?”
Travis sighed. “Nothing at the moment. We have to wait. There’s a bounty on Gabe’s head, so he’s going to take care of that. But then we’re going to take her. Make it so it looks like we got attacked by you guys.”
Ryan nodded. “Well what about Pete? Is he going to be okay?”
Travis nodded. “Really it was probably just a shock. He’ll recover in a few hours.” He looked at the rest of his band. “Come on guys. We need to prepare.” Then he turned back to the clandestine group. “I’d say make yourselves at home. But this is your home. So yeah…” With that, they walked out of the room and off deep into the house.

Gabe was standing outside on the porch, sitting on the swing. His cell phone was in his hand, and Travis was standing next to him, his fingers drumming on the porch rail. Gabe was calling William to take care of a little business.
“I hear you’re interested in having my head served to you on a silver platter.” Gabe said, surprisingly calm for someone who was talking to a person interested in killing him.
There was a growl from William’s end. “You betrayed me.” William was convinced that Gabe had called in Clandestine because of Anni being pregnant. Which was completely true. But Gabe wasn’t going to let him know that.
He chuckled, then his tone grew serious. “I thought you knew me better than that. My crew and I look out for ourselves. We only have loyalty to the person who can provide us the most. And would some washed up hunters on the run give us that? I think not. No one can provide us what you can. Which earns you our complete loyalty.”
William nodded, pleased enough. “You’re a smart man, Gabriel. You know how to keep yourself safe. Are you in contact with them?”
“Yes sir. They’re moving around from place to place, and they’ve been looking to stay with my crew for their protection. I was waiting to get in contact with you to find out where we should move from here.”
William smirked. “Harbor them. Keep them with you. I’ll be in contact soon.” Then the line went dead.
Gabe turned to Travis and gave him a meaningful nod. Travis smirked and then walked back inside.
